Playing in the Database Dirt: Reflecting on Your Findings, Pickart’s 11th Honors American Literature

Think about the information sources you used today to explore resources for Hawthorne, literary criticism on The Scarlet Letter, and the Salem Witch Trials.

Which databases do you think you might be most likely to use for your 11th American L/C assignments during the upcoming year?  Which ones did you find most helpful?  Why?

Some of the databases we feel will be useful this year include, Gale LRC, EBSCOhost LRC, Encyclopedia Britannica, Grolier Online, and ABC Clio. This is because they provide alot of good information, and are easy to use. The databases we found most helpful was the Gale LRC, because it provides alot good literary critisism and information.

We liked the EBSCOhost sites because they were organized. They were also very easy to navigate. We didn’t really like Gale because things were a little more difficult to find.
